BIOGRAPHY

Barry Rabone was born in Croydon and educated at Falmouth Grammar School and Cardiff College of Education. He married Barbara in 1972 and has two children, both at university.

He has been a teacher since 1970 and now works in Barrow-in-Furness, where he is head of a school department which has gained the Sportsmark Gold Award.

He has been an active Liberal Democrat campaigner since joining the party in 1989. He fought this seat in 2001 and has been reselected.

Barry's hobby's include reading, sport. keeping fit and walking in the Cumbrian Hills. He is interested in environmental and alternative health issues.
