Award-winning debate champion and activist, Rachael Roberts, 31, Llandudno, is the Liberal Democrats candidate for Bangor Aberconwy. As their Diversity Officer, Rachael won the Welsh Liberal Democrats' Best Contribution to Advancing Diversity award.

A dedicated humanitarian, passionate about community empowerment, Rachael believes that How you do something, is just as important as What you do. She earned a scholarship for her MA in human rights and international law focusing on ethical business and technology for humanity. Justice and Fairness govern what Rachael does, as well as following her Christian faith of striving to abide by Luke 6:31.

With a black belt in karate, Rachaels led self-defence workshops for women worldwide. During COVID-19, Rachael managed an organisation in Greece supporting refugees and asylum seekers, earning her the ‘Random Act of Kindness’ award.

A keen sailor, in 2023 Rachael represented Wales in the International Tempest World Tournament with Team UK, winning 'Best Lady on the Water'. Rachael is a Proud Cymraes and is dedicated to advancing community initiatives, with the aim of making Wales a world leader in what Greener Economy looks like, and how to build it equitably.

Rachael works supporting Disabled and Neurodiverse people and comes as a package deal with her adopted spaniel Goldie.
