Charley Hasted
Candidate for Barking
General Election - 4 July 2024
Charley is an NHS Worker who has worked in Barking. They are also an unpaid carer for their mum and have been since they were a child.
They have a long record of activism, especially for Disabled and LGBT+ people. As part of this they are a Trustee for an LGBT+ forum in London and work with the Metropolitan Police to improve the way they engage with different communities.
Charley has also been a Youth Worker, FE College governor and works with the Patchwork Foundation to support young people from underrepresented backgrounds to get involved in politics. They have always worked to support and empower young people and help them achieve. They have also seen the effect violence and especially knife crime has had on young people for many years in their personal and professional life.
Charley will fight for a fair deal for Young people, social care users, care workers, victims of crime and NHS patients and staff because they know first hand what a difference it makes to people's lives and how often they are forgotten about.
