Rebecca Forrest

Candidate for Bolton North East

General Election - 4 July 2024

Becky Forrest lives in the Haulgh area of Bolton North East, where she loves the different and distinct communities in which she works and lives. Becky has lived in Bolton for 9 years with her fiancé and two young sons, having spent many childhood holidays with family in Farnworth. With both her sons attending school and day-care in Breightmet - when they are not spending time with their grandparents in Harwood – she has links across Bolton North East.

Becky has been active in her local community, volunteering with the Girl Guides and supporting other local charities. Formerly a science teacher in Bolton and now a parent to a school age child, Becky has heard from a wide range of families within the community, and wants to be a voice for all those who may not feel listened to by the current political system.

Now working in medical communications, Becky is well placed to see how policies based on evidence would benefit local communities. Her experience in the local education system has also allowed her to witness first-hand the effects of both education cuts and selective education. Becky’s broad range of experiences, both personal and professional, would ensure she is well placed to be a strong local voice for her neighbours in Bolton North East.
