Thalia Marrington

Candidate for Camborne and Redruth

General Election - 4 July 2024

Thalia Marrington

Thalia is the Liberal Democrat Candidate standing in Camborne and Redruth in Cornwall. She was driven to stand for parliament after seeing the weakness in leadership at the one time we most needed it during a global pandemic. Thalia set off to get elected from the bottom rung but with the values and principles she saw lacking at the top. She is currently a Cornwall Councillor and has garnered respect with her collaborative approach to solving problems. Over the past three years, Thalia has gained a reputation for raising awareness about the issue of Violence against Women and Girls and on trying to make our democracy less toxic and abusive and has had motions unanimously accepted and passed on both of these issues.

If elected, Thalia is determined to put the planet and Climate action front and centre, tackle our housing crisis here and aim for long term strategies towards better health, care and mental health provision.

She is passionate about ‘doing’ politics the ‘right’ way, a kinder way and sticking to her convictions to encourage others to maybe get involved too!
