Jahir Hussain is the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Croydon West.

A resident of Croydon for the past twenty years, Jahir understands the issues that affect people’s lives in the area. He decided to step into politics to alleviate these very concerns and to be the voice of all Croydon communities.

Jahir is a digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence expert by profession with a heart that has always been inclined towards helping people. He has been working towards empowering Croydon communities economically, educationally, religiously, and culturally through a charity that he established in 2013.

Father of a son and a daughter, Jahir empathises with the problems faced by young people and aims at vocalising them in the House of Commons. Social issues concerning youth, the elderly, jobs’ creation, houses for all, and equal work opportunities for everyone (irrespective of any disabilities or care responsibilities) are very close to Jahir’s heart.

Jahir’s fundamental political aspiration is to ensure that no voice remains silenced, and that everybody feels heard in the House of Commons and all policymaking circles.
