Aisha Mir

Candidate for East Kilbride and Strathaven

General Election - 4 July 2024

Aisha Mir

Aisha was raised and educated in Scotland and has had a dynamic and varied career – working primarily in Finance and Business. She joined the Lib Dems in 2013, is an experienced campaigner and is the Scottish Lib Dem spokesperson on Human Rights & Older People.

Being a full time carer for her elderly mother, Aisha is all too aware of the increasing challenges facing our NHS, especially in Health & Social Care over the last 17 years.

Aisha believes strongly in a progressive and outward looking UK and has been active on many issues including equality, social care, education, climate change and diversity/integration and has worked with a range of charities and organisations on these issues.
