Mike Andersen

Mike Andersen is the Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Edinburgh North and Leith. After completing his university studies, Mike practised as a commercial and litigation lawyer in his native South Africa. In 2022, he moved to Edinburgh and is proud to call the city and Scotland his home.

Mike is deeply committed to serving his community, having always taken an active role in various capacities. His dedication to public service, his love for his adopted country and his core liberal beliefs led him to join the Liberal Democrats.

Mike is devoted to listening to and addressing the real-life struggles of the people living in Edinburgh North and Leith. He is dedicated to restoring trust in politics, improving NHS access, reducing the cost of living, prioritising education, and ensuring a sustainable environment.

He understands the erosion of faith in the political system and the need for elected representatives to acknowledge and address the hardships faced by many in the UK and Scotland. Mike is passionate about ensuring that the hardworking people of Scotland receive the fair deal they deserve, making him a strong advocate for Edinburgh North and Leith.
