Larry Ngan

Candidate for Folkestone and Hythe

General Election - 4 July 2024

Larry Ngan

Born and grew up in Hong Kong, Larry moved to the UK on 2006 as a research student specialised in British colonial and Hong Kong history.

Like a lot in the party, he joined Liberal Democrats on 2018 after the Brexit referendum. He had been campaigning for pro democracy movement and the right for British National (Overseas) holders during and after the 2019 protests.

Currently working as the senior data analyst for a rating agency, he was also taken the positions in the Federal Party. He was elected as a member in the Federal International Relations Committee since 2023, and he is also the chair of the Liberal Democrats Friends of Hong Kong, an organisation campaigning on Hong Kong and China Affairs.

“I stand for our party because I believe we are the only party providing the right answer for the bright future of our country.

Larry’s top priority for Folkestone and Hythe are: Tackle the cost of living crisis, save our NHS starting with our GPs, and Stop dumping Sewage in our Sea.

“Our communities deserve better than this Conservative Government. I look forward to working with communities, business and councillors across our constituency to campaign for reducing the burden under the cost of living crisis, investment in our communities, hospitals and GPs, and a seaside free from sewage water."
