Ian Sharpe

Ian Sharpe is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Loughborough. Ian has served as a Charnwood Borough Councillor, as lead member for finance as well as being a parish councillor for his local village.

Ian is an accountant by professional and has led large businesses in the Aerospace and Renewable energy industries. He believes that this experience in industry and local government gives him the skills to be an effective MP, delivering on the issues that matter most to the people of Loughborough.

Ian is passionate about improving educational opportunities for young people he has led educational charities as well as serving as a governor at a local further education college and a school. He says “every child should have a great education, in order to ensure they have the skills our economy needs”.

Ian will fight to improve our public services, repairing the broken Britain that the failed Tories have left behind.
