Neil Christian

Candidate for Macclesfield

General Election - 4 July 2024

Neil Christian

Neil cares deeply about the Macclesfield Constituency and has stood for Parliament here twice (2015 and 2019). He has a proven history of campaigning and delivering in the Constituency. He works hard alongside other committed local Lib Dem campaigners he is proud to call his team.

Neil is a barrister by profession, practising in family law and child protection. He has spent his life representing people and will be a strong advocate for our constituency if elected. He will always stand up for what is right and fair and passionately wants to make a difference for people he represents. His commitment is to make this constituency and our Country a better place to live for all.

For years our area has been taken for granted by an out-of-touch Conservative Government that has failed to get the basics right and lurched from crisis to crisis - now it’s time for change. There is little to differentiate between the two big Parties, with Conservative financial chaos at Westminster and Labour financial chaos and cuts on Cheshire East Council - now it's time for change.

Local health services have been brought to their knees, people’s mortgages and rent have skyrocketed and water companies have been allowed to pump their filthy sewage into our rivers. All this by a Conservative government more interested in fighting between themselves than standing up for people in Macclesfield.

The Liberal Democrats are on the up after beating the Conservatives at the May local elections and winning four stunning parliamentary by-election victories since the last General Election in rural Constituencies just like Macclesfield.

Every vote for Neil and the Liberal Democrats at this election is a vote for a fair deal. It’s a vote for a party that will stand up for our community and our health services.
