Ellen Nicholson
Candidate for Runnymede and Weybridge
General Election - 4 July 2024
Ellen Nicholson is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Runnymede and Weybridge. A current local councillor for neighbouring Woking, Ellen is a strong, local and hardworking campaigner and has the experience that will deliver the change needed.
Too many MPs are career politicians with no understanding of life in the real world. She is a successful professional who lives locally and will use her experience getting things done as a professional, a councillor, local hospital governor and former director of a SME to deliver on the issues that matter most to residents.
For Ellen, improving local healthcare is a personal priority. A registered nurse by background means Ellen knows just how important it is to have good quality NHS facilities in our community.
Ellen’s top priorities for Runnymede and Weybridge are urgent action on sewage in our waterways and the River Thames flood scheme, fairer deal for residents recognising the cost-of-living impact; cut waiting times for general practice appointments.
"I love Surrey. I’m proud to live here. Our towns and Surrey countryside are special places, and they deserve a strong independent-minded MP who will put local people first. I’m standing to make sure we get an MP fighting for Runnymede and Weybridge."
