Joanna Kenny

Candidate for St Austell and Newquay

General Election - 4 July 2024

Joanna Kenny

Joanna is a familiar face in Newquay and St Austell: a stalwart of the community (and longtime surfer) who for more than 20 years has campaigned on vital regional issues from clean water to responsible planning. An established presence in Cornish politics, Joanna has served as a magistrate and as Mayor of Newquay, her home town. She has served as local councillor for Town, Borough and Cornwall. Her love for Cornwall is at the heart of everything she does; her understanding of the issues facing its citizens second to none.

Joanna says “It is time for change and we need someone who understands our area to deliver that change. I pledge to fight day and night for a better deal for Cornwall and to get more powers for our local community so we can take the right decisions for our future and not be left behind by Westminster”
