Niall Hodson

Candidate for Sunderland Central

General Election - 4 July 2024

Niall Hodson

Niall Hodson is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Sunderland Central. He lives in the city with his wife and their pet dog Skye, and has represented the Millfield Ward on Sunderland City Council since 2016.

Niall has been a prominent campaigner to clean up Sunderland's streets, parks, and coastline - from challenging the Council on the litter and flytipping blighting our city centre to taking the Conservative Government to task about the untreated waste pouring into the River Wear and the North Sea.

Niall works as a museum curator and is a passionate advocate for arts and culture, having supported numerous public art projects in the city, and speaking up against the closure of the National Glass Centre.
