Nominations Open for Councillor posts on Federal Committees
As part of our upcoming slate of Internal Elections, nominations will open on Tuesday for roles elected by Councillors to a number of Federal Committees.
How to stand
The following posts are up for election by Councillors:
- 3x Member of Federal Council
- 2x Member of Federal Policy Committee
- 1x Member of Federal Board
If you would like to stand, you can submit a consent form here: beta.libdems.org.uk/consent
You’ll then need to obtain 2 nominations from other Councillors (on a principal local authority), directly elected Mayors or Police & Crime Commissioners in order to be on the ballot. You must do that by the close of nominations which is 5pm on the 31st October.
You can find out more about the election process in the Internal Elections hub here: beta.libdems.org.uk/internal-elections
How to nominate
If you would like to nominate another candidate to stand, you’ll need to retrieve your nomination code on this form here: beta.libdems.org.uk/request
You should use this email address to request that code.
From there, you’ll be sent instructions on how to nominate. You can also see those here: beta.libdems.org.uk/internal-elections/nomination-guidance
