Lib Dems win - South West London

The Liberal Democrats have won South West London electing Gareth Roberts, continuing the removal of Conservatives right across South West London. This is the final Conservative representative in the Borough of Richmond.

Commenting, Ed Davey Leader of the Liberal Democrats said: 

“The Liberal Democrats are moving from strength to strength as the Conservatives go the way of the dinosaurs in South West London.

“This has been an historic set of local election results for the Liberal Democrats, and now we’re making more history here in London with newly elected Gareth Roberts AM. 

“With more and more bricks knocked out of the blue wall, we are ready for the General Election and laser-focused on beating Conservative MPs at the General Election. 

“What’s clearer now, more than ever, is that people are sick to their back teeth with Rishi Sunak and his chaotic and out of touch Conservative Government. They have been sent a message they can’t ignore.”
