Local elections: Senior Conservative MPs are in for a big shock tomorrow

As millions of people go the polls in this year's local elections, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats Daisy Cooper MP said: 

“Senior Conservative MPs are in for a big shock tomorrow. The Liberal Democrats are now on the cusp of causing a major political upset.

"From Michael Gove’s backyard in Surrey to Theresa May’s in Windsor and Maidenhead, it is now neck and neck between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrat’s. 

"There is no longer any such thing as a safe Blue Wall seat for a Conservative MP. 

"Tomorrow, Blue Wall voters can back the Liberal Democrats and deliver a hammer blow to sitting cabinet Ministers and former Prime Ministers. After years of taking voters for granted, the Conservative party only have themselves to blame."
