Rupert Lowe: Badenoch must rule out allowing MP to join Conservatives

Responding to reporting in the Sun that Rupert Lowe and senior Conservatives have been holding talks with the former Reform MP about joining the Party, Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper MP said:

"Former Conservative voters will be appalled to see the Tories in talks about letting in a man who has openly supported Tommy Robinson.

“Badenoch needs to rule out Lowe joining the Conservatives immediately and come clean about whether she is the one who actively sanctioned these discussions.

“As the Conservatives continue their second-rate imitation of Nigel Farage, we Liberal Democrats will continue to talk about the issues that matter to people and stand up for our communities.”
