Scandal saga must end with ban on VIP lanes

8 Dec 2022

EMBARGO: IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Following the Labour Party's Humble Address to publish PPE Medpro's contracts passing unopposed in the House of Commons, Liberal Democrat Cabinet Office Spokesperson Christine Jardine said:

"Transparency is imperative, but it's no longer enough to just publish these contracts; we must ban VIP lanes altogether so this cannot happen again.

"Conservative cronyism cannot be allowed at the heart of Government and the Prime Minister has to put an end to this saga by publishing the  contracts and banning VIP lanes.

"It's been nearly three years since the start of the pandemic and it seems there are still new scandals unfolding. The public deserves better than a Government mired in accusations over taxpayer funded contracts."
