Candidate Team Volunteers
What is the purpose of this role: This role changes across the campaign. When the election is called, our candidates will have two weeks to complete, hand in and have their nomination papers accepted. You will be allocated a list PPCs to call at different times over that two-week period to ensure that they still wish to stand, that they have nomination papers and that they are completing them/handing them in before the close date. You will keep records of your contacts and the PPC updates using a spreadsheet provided.
In addition to this task, you will be across email and phones and be the first point of contact for a candidate who has a query or needs help. If the answer doesn’t sit with us we will make it easy for the candidate to access the help they need.
What skills do you need: You will have a good, confident telephone manner. You will be digitally savvy and be comfortable with spreadsheets and email. The office will be “open” from 07:00 to 23:00 we will be working shifts so you may be required to work some evening & weekend shifts.
When do we need you: We are expanding our team for the full 6 weeks of the General Election short campaign.
