Local Party Organiser (Sheffield)
Responsible to: Local Party Chair
Salary: £22,400 to £29,995 (If 21 or over) Salary dependent on experience.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Tenure: Fixed-term contract until May 31st 2026, with the expectation that the role would continue
Location: Sheffield Liberal Democrats Office, 2 Wyvern House, Sheffield S2 4HG

Job Description:
Work with: The Elections Officer; Other Local Party officers, Councillors, Candidates and Campaigners from across our branches and with the regional staff team.
In Order To:
- Ensure the successful delivery of the agreed campaign plan.
- Build campaigning and organisational capacity – including recruiting members, canvassers, deliverers and poster sites.
- Increase capacity building and campaigning. Developing effective campaigns at ward, constituency and city level as appropriate.
- Assist in media releases.
- Design and deliver an ongoing programme of doorstep and on-line communication with voters which is regularly reviewed.
- Take the lead in the design, production, printing, and coordination of delivery of campaign literature, liaising with external printers and suppliers as required.
- Maintain relevant databases e.g. deliverers, poster sites etc.
- Assist with organising events e.g. action days, canvassing sessions, member development etc
- Maintain and update social media, website and other digital infrastructure.
- Support fundraising and assisting with fundraising campaigns and events to positively engage members/supporters and that will meet the targets of the local party fundraising plan.
- Promote the further development of equal opportunities and diversity within the Local Party
- Attend relevant conferences, training and other meetings as required.
