Why work for us
Here's the deal: working for the Federal Party

It is important to celebrate what makes us unique and that you feel valued, appreciated and free to be who you are. Follow the link for more about EEDI in the Lib Dems
Values
All of us are responsible for ensuring we live our values
Fair - We treat everyone we work with fairly. We do everything we can to make sure our decisions are free from bias.
Open - All our people are encouraged to openly share their opinions and views. We are honest and make responsible decisions and we speak up for what is right. We believe that honesty, respect and a commitment to open dialogue are the foundations of trust.
Community - Our communities connect us. We don’t just respect differences - we celebrate them. We believe that changing the country for the better starts with inclusion and to create that better future, we need people with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and abilities. That’s why we are committed to creating a workplace where all kinds of people can come together and cooperate across teams to work and respect each other and to deliver our best work. It's when everyone's voice is heard and valued that we are inspired to go beyond what people thought was possible.

Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance. We celebrate Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps. In this workplace, we recognise and celebrate our colleagues’ identities. We are a community built on an ethos of equality and respect where hair texture and style have no bearing on an employees ability to succeed.

We are a small organisation and do not have lots of layers so what we can’t offer you is a tall straight career ladder. - Opportunity for personal growth
- Involvement in decision making

Pay
We are a membership-based not-for-profit organisation which means we do not have oodles of cash and as a result we pay lower quartile salaries. What we can offer is:
- Your salary is fair and equally applied
- This principle is applied across all roles (the only time when we move on this is if the external job market requires us to)
- You will work for an organisation that truly believes it can make the country better and does make a difference in local communities - we have a strong purpose
- You will work for the third largest political party in the UK and whilst you are with us it will be a truly unique experience, one you can’t replicate anywhere else
- We review all salaries once a year. This review takes into consideration KPI levels, our performance as a team and affordability
- We are proud to say we’ve been committed to paying no less than London Living Wage since April 2015. We want to invest in our people and pay a fair salary so that everyone who works for us can afford to live and work
