Salary: £29,000 to £32,000

Hours: Full time

Tenure: Permanent

Location: Westminster, London

You will help us capitalise on the Liberal Democrats’ new position as the largest ever third party in Parliament and our existing strength in the House of Lords.

This new role will establish and communicate best practice for promoting the work of the Liberal Democrats in Parliament through digital channels. You will support MPs, peers and their offices to generate digital content within clear brand guidelines.

The role will coordinate closely across colleagues in Parliament, in MPs’ offices, in the Commons and Lords Whips’ Offices, and across the party. This will include coordinating and designing digital communications for key votes and high-profile moments such as Prime Minister’s Questions.

You should have a background in digital communications and social media, and a strong understanding of Parliament and UK politics.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience

  1. A strong understanding of different digital channels and social media platforms.
  2. Ability to work consistently to high professional standards including accuracy, honesty, quality, and evidence.
  3. Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  4. Ability to manage many different projects at once, from assignment through to delivery, in line with deadlines and sign off procedures.
  5. A strong understanding of the UK’s current political environment.
  6. Good visual design skills - able to produce high quality, visually appealing content.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  1. Experience using graphic design and video editing software.
  2. A commitment to the aims and values of the Liberal Democrats.
